Tips & Tricks (5)
- Shrimp Deveining Pro š¦When deveining shrimp, use a small paring knife to make a shallow cut along the back and remove the dark vein for a cleaner, more appealing presentation.
- Flavor Layering Technique š¶ļøToast the Cajun seasoning and chili powder in the butter for 30 seconds before adding vegetables to intensify their aromatic compounds and develop deeper flavor.
- Cornstarch Slurry Secret š„Mix the cornstarch with cold water before adding to the sauce to prevent lumping and ensure a smooth, glossy thickening effect.
- Acid Balance Hack šAdd the lemon juice at the very end of cooking to brighten the entire dish and balance the rich tomato sauce without losing its fresh citrus notes.
- Shrimp Cooking Precision ā±ļøCook shrimp just until they turn pink and curl slightly - typically 2-3 minutes max - to prevent rubbery texture and maintain tender, juicy meat.
